Did you just beef?

Written by Ryan Blanck

I must admit… it was fun typing that question. I’m actually laughing out loud as I can hear someone asking it to a close friend.

Think about that four-word question one more time… “Did you just beef?”

Who has asked you this question? Who have you asked this question to? Seriously, identify these people. I know you’ve asked it and been asked it… at least once.

Let me guess… you’re picturing family members and friends, and, I'm betting your relationship with these people is based on love, trust, respect, candor, and (heaven forbid) fun.

What could be possible if you shared these relationship attributes with more people? How much more productive could work be if more of your employees shared a similar relationship with you?

What if you built such meaningful relationships with your followers that asking any question is welcomed? Would this create a more or less collaborative environment?

Think about the impact of questions that are never asked?

Did you just beef is a metaphor signifying the relationship you have with those around you. Your relationships will flourish if they are built on trust and transparency.

Trust and transparency create credibility; credibility is the foundation of leadership and high-functioning teams.
