Professional Facilitator & Performance Consultant, Deviate LLC
Dr. Gary Bunn is a lifelong learner and educator. With more than 20 years of work in education as a high school math teacher and a school counselor, Gary currently serves as the Program Coordinator and assistant professor for the University of Central Arkansas Master of Arts in Teaching program. Gary and his team prepare others to impact the lives of students.
Starting his career at Rose City Middle School, an impoverished, urban school in North Little Rock, Arkansas, Gary began to explore the traits that motivate the learner. This experience led him to realize the value of recognizing the needs and understanding the goals of each individual. This realization shaped his beliefs and continues to play a central role in his work today.
Gary earned his Master’s degree in School Counseling in 1998 from the University of Arkansas in Little Rock. He returned there to earn his Doctorate in Education in 2004. His research interests include leadership development and motivation. Most recently, he has begun to explore the role of positive dispositions in the development of effective educators.
Gary’s is one of our top professional facilitators and his style is best summed up by this Benjamin Franklin quote...
Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn.”
